Meet Carrie, 94. She has spent her life giving to others, being a loving mother to her children. For 22 years, she has had dementia. And Beverly, her daughter, has cared for her with the same love and compassion she received.

She has good days. She’s full of laughter and chats with friends about what it was like growing up nearly a century ago.

She has rough days, too. Dementia can be a rollercoaster. For those suffering and for those caring for a loved one.

One thing is constant. Through your continued support, Carrie can go to the BakerRipley Dementia Day Center five days a week. Here, she participates in structured activities that engage her mind and body, that encourage her connection to herself and others.

“I really think that having this place where she can talk to people, mingle and sing songs, play games - things of that nature― I really think it has extended my mother’s life,” Beverly said.
