Entrepreneur Connection is our small business program that provides resources, education, and connection to capital to help entrepreneurs start or expand a business. We serve entrepreneurs from all over the greater Houston area.

Main Services

Business Workshops
Workshop topics can vary from marketing, social media, to creating business plans. They travel across all community centers and are presented by program staff in conjunction with local partners.

Entrepreneur Academy
Multi week training courses for entrepreneurs or small business owners that is taught in Spanish. Courses cover the basics of starting and running a new business as well as growth strategies for established businesses. Course fees range from $50 to $100.

Technical Assistance
One on one coaching and support services for individuals looking to launch or grow a business. Coaches support skill development and act as an affordable counselor to support learning. Using a personalized and flexible approach, services and content will be carefully individualized to the needs of each entrepreneur and business owner. We also provide business planning for individuals looking for a loan. We can help get you loan ready for lenders. Limited availability and fee may apply.

Business Pitch Competition Lanzate Houston!
Annual business pitch competition that is open to entrants from across Harris County. Participants pitch their business in one of two categories - start up or business growth - and winners receive cash and in kind prizes. This competition is unique because it is the only event of its kind in Houston that is delivered in Spanish. With our co-sponsor, the City of Houston Office of Business Opportunity, we provide opportunities for entrepreneurs to pitch their business or business idea to a panel of experts and investors.
